Safe, Loving Forever Home Needed

This sweet boy needs a safe, loving forever home. We are told he is a Chesapeake Retriever, close to 3 years old. He is neutered and UTD on his vaccinations (we have records). He was removed from a bad situation, my son goes back to college in a couple weeks and he cannot take him with. He would do best in a single dog household (due to an abusive previous owner and other dogs), he may be ok in a home with another dog as long as they didnt share food/feed together (we are told). He does get along with other dogs. Unknown with cats (our cats are not a fan, so they steer clear). He hasnt been around kids but I think he would do good. He truly is a sweet, loving boy. He is house trained, knows basic commands. A fenced yard would be ideal. He loves to play ball.

Rehoming fee of $100 to ensure he goes to a good, safe home. May ask for references. He will come with a large dog carrier, dog bed, toys, and food and food supplies.
